Rarely do we skip a new Oreo flavor release. There’s something about these tasty little cookies that draws us in like a siren song. We did pass by the two Trolls Oreo offerings twice and skipped them both times. What a mistake! We didn’t really look closely, we thought it was similar to the Easter version, which is a different shape and stamped cookie with normal creme filling. Not so with this tasty edition though! We should have read the packaging a bit closer.
There is a golden cookie version, with pink filling and glitter, we passed on that one. The real treasure here is the chocolate cookie with green colored creme filling with glitter and popping candy! Yes, the Fourth of July popping candy has made a return! We were definitely excited as we loved the Fourth of July version.
We love it, because it is such a different experience for an Oreo or for any cookie. Great chocolate cookie taste, with three different designs on the cookies (see photo below). The creme and glitter are fun to look at, however, they are not flavored in any way. The popping candy is so much fun though. The best way to experience it is to take a bit, chew a little, then stop. You’ll feel that popping sizzle feeling and it is pretty fun! It is a tingly cookie eating experience, it is unique and the kids love it. Adults in our house loved it too, it is a small thing, but adds a fun twist to these Oreos.
We purchased ours at WalMart for $2.98 USD. These are fun Oreos, we give it a Go Try It rating. I mean, you need cookies anyway, try something new!
