There are very few ice cream treats we love as much as Klondike bars. There have been a few new varieties over the years, but the donuts variation totally threw us for a loop. How in the world would Klondike mix donuts and ice cream? Our minds ran wild with ideas until we finally found these in stock at our store and brought them home to try.
The shape may be the best part of this particular flavor. They’ve figured out how to punch a whole in a Klondike bar. (Which made us wonder if we’d see Klondike Donuts Donut Holes at some point in the future…please say yes!)
The Boston Cream flavor is kind of me though. We had to work really, really hard to get a Boston Cream taste out of it. We were hoping for an overpowering flavor of Boston Cream, something that was sickly sweet and creamy. What we got was a tiny amount of flavor, and well, ice cream. Not what we were hoping for, but they were fun to try and with summer hitting the U.S. we would recommend these for something different to try.
We recommend trying these, but don’t get hyped up about the taste. We picked ours up at WalMart for $3.27 USD for a 6-pack, or about the same as 1 medium cone at Dairy Queen.
