We love us some Kit Kat at this house. That crispity crunchity wafer and chocolate mix is hard to beat. We’ve done several Kit Kat reviews already, but the latest lemon crisp Kit Kat and raspberry +creme Kit Kat were pretty darn good and will be tough for any flavor to follow. So how does this Birthday Cake one taste, do you want to break off a piece of that birthday cake!?
Before we talk taste, it is important to note that this Kit Kat version is the first time Kit Kat has used inclusions (that is the food industry term for mix-ins, in this case, rainbow sprinkles). So, this is a giant first for the Kit Kat brand! We hope to see more mix-ins in the future now and our brains are already spinning with ideas.
We aren’t huge fans of white chocolate. It’s not real chocolate to begin with, and not our favorite taste, but it works well in this birthday cake flavor. It has a nice rich vanilla and cake taste and the sprinkles give this a fantastic crunch. Birthday Cake flavoring seems to be popular right now and we do enjoy it. The only bad thing we could say is that these are extremely sweet. Even though we enjoyed the flavor, one stick was plenty.
We recommend giving this a try if you love Kit Kats like we do. It’s also great for those fans of birthday cake flavor, or cake flavor in general. We picked ours up at Walmart, in the checkout aisle for $.88 USD.
